Baking cookies - that's one of the best things to do at Christmas! No matter whether in our glittering world or in the world world. 🎄 After all, it smells like delicious pastries everywhere and no matter where you go, there are bulging cookie tins! 😍
Mama Meike brought me her favorite cookie recipe on her last visit, which I would like to share with you. Maybe you would like to bake it again? Pummel is definitely excited to finally try cookies from your WeltWelt!

The ingredients: 500g flour, 250g sugar, 1 pack of vanilla sugar, 250g butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 pack of baking powder
Baking time: Approx. 10-12 minutes at 200°C top/bottom heat (preheated)
First , mix all the ingredients together to form a soft, homogeneous dough. The best way to do this is to use a mixer with a dough hook or use the tool you always have at hand: your hands! 👋 Hehe. Then wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the fridge to rest for about 1 hour .

After the cookie dough is completely relaxed and rested, flour your work surface and roll out the dough thinly . You can now cut out your cookies with your favorite cookie cutters. Of course I used the Pummel and Purricorn cookie cutter set . 🤩 The two of them will definitely be wide-eyed!
Now place the cut out cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper . It's best to leave a little space between each cookie before they bake together into one giant cookie in the oven! 🍪 One Norbertus was adventure enough ! Haha!

You can now bake the cookies at 200°C top/bottom heat (preheated) until they are crispy and brown. Depending on the thickness of your dough, the cookies will be ready in about 10-12 minutes !
Once your cookies have cooled after baking , you can decorate them however you like. How about icing and colorful sprinkles? Simply mix powdered sugar with a little water or lemon juice and sprinkle! 🌈 You can also color the icing with colorful food coloring and paint the cookies in rainbow colors! Or what do you think of chocolate? Your imagination knows no boundaries!
